CRAFT BEER
A story born in a park …
Resourcefulness, commitment, a great passion for our territory and, above all, for beer, craft beer and then ... a pinch of madness: these are the ingredients from which the Bossum brewery was born.
It was the winter of 2019, a group of friends, sitting at a table, drinking beer, began to discuss and fantasize about an attractive and ambitious idea: to produce and sell a craft beer. Who thought about the styles to be produced, who imagined a name, who designed a logo ... Until, moved by enthusiasm, the decision was made: "let's open a brewery!".
And so, that game between friends quickly turned into an operational project which, on 8 July of the same year, was formalized in front of a notary: Beremente srl was born and the "Bossum" project was born.
Bossum was born as a Roman beer.
The choice of the place of production was therefore as simple as it was casual; in fact, the unmissable opportunity of a plant in the Veio Park, surrounded by greenery, in an enchanting setting where time seems to have stopped.
Bossum derives its name from the Boxwood bushes that for centuries have adorned that territory, thus cementing the indissoluble link between our way of making craft beer and the respect for the surrounding environment that we want to protect and enhance, starting with the quality of the water and of the raw materials used to produce Bossum beer. A bond that you can rediscover and caress every time you hold one of our bottles, in which you can also see the obsessive attention to the many details of our way of producing.
BOSSUM DERIVES ITS NAME
FROM BOXWOOD BUSHES
OF THE PARK OF VEIO
In December 2019 the first “brew” arrived …
... a Blond Ale, not surprisingly called "Prima". Thus began a long journey through flavors, aromas, sensations and emotions that, from that moment, accompanied the subsequent productions of Bossum: eight different styles and more than 100 thousand bottles produced. Not even the Pandemic, an unexpected and tenacious enemy, has stopped us. We have faced it with an even greater commitment, remaining faithful to our mission of spreading the culture of craft beer but, above all, thanks to the contribution of many who have supported our project.
We know that the road is still long but, after almost two years, that group of friends can say that dreams, if they are supported by passion and will, can become reality.
